PAMUKKALE & LAKE SALDA General Information About
PAMUKKALE & LAKE SALDA
This exciting day trip commences at 06:00 with our bus departing Antalya. On arrival in Pamukkale ( Eng. "Cotton castle") you will visit the open-air Museum of the ancient Greek city of Hieropolis, dating from the 2nd century BC; enjoy the famous white travertines located on the mountainside, and swim in the renowned ‘Cleopatra's Pool’ filled with thermal water.
Cleopatra’s Pool offers a separate pleasure! Swimming in the pool of Cleopatra, surrounded by Roman columns is delightful. Filled with warm (above 36C) pure mineral water, it is useful for diseases of the heart and blood vessels, musculoskeletal system, etc. Entrance and swimming in the pool is paid separately - 10 Euros.
After lunch we will go to Lake Salda; often described as ‘The Maldives of Turkey.’ Tectonic lake is the second deepest (184m) in the country, but has no equal in beauty, purity of water and the presence of a white magnesite shore.. Wonderful property to change the colour of the waters depending on the time of year and day. Contemplate the beautiful scenery; walk a ‘mile of beach,’ or swim in the püre, clear waters of the lake... A wonderful experience !
