SAGALASSOS AND LAKE SALDA
A marvellous scenic tour visiting an ancient city and a high mountain lake. The famous and beautiful Sagalassos, taken under the protection of UNESCO, is perfectly preserved to this day. Located at an altitude of 1700 m above sea level, in 3000 BC it was the capital of Psidia, which was occupıed by Alexander the Great and later annexed to the Roman Empire. The restored fountains still beat with water to this day – you need to see it with your own eyes !
Insuyu karst cave is famous for its underground 9 water reservoirs, which form one whole lake underground. The first one in Turkey is open to the public.
Next you will visit the Tectonic lake Salda, the second deepest (184m) in the country, The lake has no equal in beauty, purity of water and the presence of a white magnesite shore.. The wonderful property of changing the color of its waters depending on the time of year and day attracts many people here.
