VAN-KARS AND BLACKSEA HIGHLANDS TOUR WITH FLIGHT General Information About

                                            Tour Capacity is Limited to 16 People. 

1. Day: ANTALYA-VAN-AKDAMAR

We meet up at the airport at 7:00 am and fly to Van via Sun Express 08:25 flight.

We meet with our vehicle waiting for us in Van and after seeing the Van Castle, Urartian King Tombs, and Urartian ruins with a panoramic Van city tour and watching the insatiable beauty of Van Lake, we see the historical Van houses at the foot of the Van Castle and the Ulu Mosque and Hüsrev Pasha Mosques in the old city of Van then we are making a pleasant boat trip to Akdamar.

We visit the Akdamar Church, which is located on Akdamar Island and is famous for its stonework, and then we take a tour of the island.

Then we move on to our hotel for accommodation and dinner.

2. Day: ERCİŞ FISH DAM-MURADİYE WATERFALL-İSHAKPAŞA PALACE

We first go to Erciş Fish Barrier after having breakfast at the hotel. We can call the fish dam the migration route of pearl mullets living in Van Lake. The sight of fish trying to lay eggs in the stream of Deli Stream, which merges with Van Lake, where they pass from the sparkling water of Van Lake to the freshwater stream to spawn, presents us with a visual feast. We go to Muradiye Waterfall by photographing the fish dam, which looks as if they are jumping and dancing because they are swimming against the water. After the free time, we will have at the magnificent Muradiye Waterfall on the Bend-i Mahi Stream fed by Tendürek Mountain,8 km away from Doğubayazıt, on a hill overlooking the plain, it’s one of the most important Turkish architectural works that came out of the fairytale world and fascinated those who see it with all its splendor. We are visiting the Ishak Pasha Palace, one of the UNESCO World Heritage candidates. Ishak Pasha Palace was built in 1784 by Çıldıroğulları II. It was built during the reign of Ishak Pasha and is considered to be the only palace structure of Ottoman architecture that has survived to the present day in Anatolia. The palace has 366 rooms with its mosque, divan room, oven, kitchen, and hamams. The motifs on the doors are masterpieces of art. Ishak Pasha Palace is the place where the epic love of Gülbahar and Ahmed, who could not meet, took place in the main corner of Yaşar Kemal’s book “The Legend of Mount Ararat”. 500 meters away from the palace, we visit the tomb of the famous Sheikh Ahmedi Hani, who wrote the epic love story Memu Zin. Then we get on our vehicle to drive to Kars. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Kars.

3. Day: KARS - SARIKAMIŞ

After having breakfast, we leave the hotel and head to Sarıkamış.

We visit the Martyr’s Memorial, which was named the 22 December 1915 Sarıkamış Operation in the Ottomon’s struggle against the Russians in Eastern Anatolia and was organized in memory of our 60 thousand soldiers, in the city center. Then, we see the hunt pavilion built for Queen Katerina during the Russian period and after visiting the Sarıkamış Martyr’s Monument, we go to the city center and take a break here for shopping for souvenirs which are made of Obsidian stone. Then we go back to the city center of Kars and visit Kars Castle, Stone Bridge, Museum of Kars, and Alexander Nevski Church (Fethiye Mosque) with a guide. We take a walk on Kars’ wide and well-planned streets and we see Governor’s Mansion, one of the stone structures of the Russian Period, PTT building, Orthodox Church(Central Mosque), Iron Bridge, Doctor’s House(Opera House). After having some free time to see and photograph these places we go back to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Kars.

4. Day: KARS-ANI RUINS-ÇILDIR LAKE-ŞAVŞAT BLACK LAKE-ARTVİN

After having breakfast at the hotel we move to Ani ruins. Located at the bottom of Arpaçay, which draws our border with Armenia; in the city famous for its monumental structures belonging to Armenian and Seljuk cultures, we visit the Cathedral, Surp Kirkor, and Surp Pirgiç(Keveli Church)Churches, Menücehr Mosque, and Caravan Palace. We then move to Çıldır Lake. After having free time here we get back to our vehicle and drive to Şavşat.

After the free time, we will have in Şavşat Black lake with its virgin nature, oxygen reservoir forest, and magnificent view, we move to our hotel.

Dinner and overnight are at our hotel in Artvin.

5. Day: ARTVİN-BORÇKA BLACK LAKE-BARDNALA WATERFALL-DOUBLE BRIDGES-MENÇUNE WATERFALL-RİZE

After having breakfast at the hotel, we first see Klaskur stream, and then we visit Black lake.

27 km away from the city center Borçka Black Lake Nature Park, located in the distance and shown among Turkey’s hidden paradises, will fascinate us with the reflection of the trees, which contain every shade of green, on the lake.

We move to Bardnala Waterfall after having free time and then visit “Double Bridges” which is nature intertwined. We also see Mençuna Waterfall, one of the paradise corners of Kamilet Valley in Arhavi district and we move to our hotel in Rize Pazar for dinner and accommodation.

6. Day: AYDER PLATEAU-GELİNTÜLÜ WATERFALL-FIRTINA STREAM-ÇİNÇİVA BRIDGE-ZİLKALE-PALOVİT WATERFALL

We’ll reach Ayder Plateau via Rize with a pleasant bus journey after having breakfast at the hotel.

After reaching Kalegon, which is considered Ayder’s Mansion, and seeing the Gelintülü Waterfall, those who wish can take short walks.

After the lunch break, which consists of local delicacies we can taste in our restaurant by the Fırtına Stream, after our visits, we move to Çamlıhemşin with our vehicle.

We’ll take a nature tour along the Fırtına Valley of Kaçkarlar by getting on our minibusses waiting for us.

Proceeding along the Fırtına Valley which is the main habitat of endemic plants and endangered animals in the ecosystem, we see the single-arch bridges from the Genoese along the way, we’ll see and photograph the Çinçiva Bridge which has survived to the present day in its best condition.

Afterward, we’ll reach Zilkale, one of the most beautiful places to see in our country, which is built on a hill.

The next step will be Palovit Waterfall which is the wonder of nature, after seeing Zilkale. We’ll take pictures and be hiking where the unique natural beauties will join us.

We’ll move back to our hotel after having free time. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

7. Day: HAPSİYAŞ BRIDGE-UZUNGÖL-KASTEL MANSION-SÜRMENE CASTLE-TRABZON-ANTALYA

We’ll depart after having breakfast at the hotel and the sightseeing tour will start in Rize. The first visit will be the historical Hapsiyaş Bridge(Tiled Bridge) after the city tour. We’ll have a picture break there and move to Uzungöl.

After having free time in Uzungöl, we’ll visit Kastel Mansion also known as Memiş Aga Mansion because it was built by Hacı Yakupoğlu Memiş Aga in 1856. The Mansion is located in Sürmene and has rich woodwork decoration.

We will be on the observation terrace which help us to see Sürmene Castle panoramically. We will move to Trabzon Airport after having a dinner break. We fly back to Antalya via Sun Express at 9:35 pm.
