Our tour is to the eastern part of the coast. Lakes surrounded by coniferous and mixed forests, cool mountain meadows of "yayla" in a misty haze, tea plantations and hazelnut gardens , the ancient monastery of Sumela ... PROGRAM
Day 1. Hotel pick-up and meet at Antalya airport and departure to Trabzon. We drive to the mountains, see the largest Orthodox monastery of Panagia Sumela, carved into the rock at the beginning of the 5th century. From here, the road to Uzungol is a picturesque "long lake", located in a narrow mountain valley. Free time for hiking in the mountains and visiting the local colorful dwellings. Then we visit the place Of, where we will see tea plantations and a factory for processing tea leaves. After the tea tasting you begin to appreciate the aroma and flavour of Turkish tea even more; there is also a tea party and the opportunity to purchase exclusive varieties. A trip to Rize on the coast is next. Here we will visit the Botanical Garden and the studio for the production of organic fabrics. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. Today we will visit a little known yet very attractive region of Turkey-Artvin and its high-altitude yayly. A few kilometers along the steep serpentine road we arrive in the magical; beautiful Borchka, a short stop for shopping for local souvenirs and further into the mountains to Lake Karagol. Her we rest to enjoy the beautiful scenery before moving on to Macahel. This place is becoming more and more popular every year due to its unspoilt nature, beautiful views of the misty mountain slopes, waterfalls, rich flora and delicious honey, famous throughout the country. After enjoying tea brewed in water from mountain springs, we go further to the top, to yayla Ayder, known for its picturesque location on the green slopes of the mountains at an altitude of 1350 m. There will be a dinner accompanied by folk music on local instruments "tulum" and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3. After enjoying a local breakfast, a walking tour with a view of the Kachkar Mountains (Pontic range) , rising up to 3000 m, covered with forest, to the Gelin tulu waterfall "bride's veil". From here, we board minibuses and go to Khemshin to see the unusual fortress from the fairy tale Zilkale, in the Firtina Valley. Returning to Trabzon, we visit the main attraction of the city – the Ataturk Palace, where the Turkish leader lived during his stay in the city. Currently, there is a museum, which presents a collection of furniture and paintings, exemplifying the luxury and decoration of the palace. Next - the Hagia Sophia Cathedral-an outstanding monument of Late Byzantine architecture with well-preserved Byzantine frescoes. Having concluded our visits we then transfer to the airport and fly to Antalya at 20: 20.
