MARDİN GÖBEKLİTEPE NEMRUT TOUR WITH FLIGHT Tur Programı

PROGRAM
1 Day: ANTALYA - DİYARBAKIR - MİDYAT - MARDİN

We meet at the Antalya International Airport at 5:30 am and take the flight which departs at 7 am to Diyarbakır via Sun Express. We get on our vehicle waiting for us in Diyarbakır Airport and drive to Hasankeyf, which is in danger of being submerged in Ilısu Dam.

We take a photo break next to the new bridge to see the traces of Artuqids, Ayyubids, and Ottomans in Hasankeyf, which has been under uninterrupted construction due to being crossing point of the Silk Road on the Tigris.

We then drive to Midyat to see the governor’s guest house, which hosted the shootings of many famous TV series in Midyat and is one of the most important examples of civil architecture in the region, from the outside.

We see The Old Inn and the streets of Midyat and do shopping in Telkarisies Street. We also see Deyrulzafaran Syriac Monastery, which was used as a habitance by Syriac Orthodox Patriarchs till 1932 for 640 years. Then, we move to Mardin city center and visit Virgin Mary Church, Mardin Archeological and Ethnographic Museum, Abdüllatif Mosque, Gazi Pasha Elementary School, PTT building, Zinciriye Madrasa, Şehidiye Mosque, Sabancı Museum on foot. We then take a break for lunch in New Mardin.

Our first stop is Deyrulzaferan Monastery after lunch. We move to Kasımiye Madrasa. We are informed by our guide while we watch Mesopotamia’s view and then we move to our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

2 Day: GÖBEKLİTEPE - ŞANLIURFA - ADIYAMAN

We move to Göbekli Tepe Mound which is on the list of UNESCO WORLD CULTURAL HERITAGE after having breakfast at our hotel. Göbekli Tepe is shown as the biggest archeological discovery of recent years. It’s still being discussed how the hunter and gatherer people built and designed this temple 12.000 years ago. It was built 7.500 years before the Egyptian Pyramids and Stonehenge in England. We then move to Şanlıurfa and take a break for lunch. We are informed about the cave where Saint İbrahim was born and visit Dergah, Halil-ür Rahman Mosque, Rızvaniye Mosque, Fish Lake, Aynzeliha Lake, Prophet Eyüp’s place, the cave where he suffered, the well he was washed to get rid of his sickness, in order.

The next stop is Harran, where the first Islamic university is located. After we see conical domed Harran houses, located in only 3 regions in the world, ruins of Ulucami, mound, city walls, the castle, traditional Harran houses we move to Adıyaman. Dinner and accommodation will be at our hotel in Adıyaman.

3 Day: NEMRUT - ADIYAMAN - DİYARBAKIR

We depart from the hotel after having breakfast to see the sunset on Mount Nemrut. We go to the East Terrace first, then move to the West Terrace to see the statues of the Kommagene Kingdom with our tour guide.

We also visit; Arsemia Ancient City, Şeytan Bridge, the Seljuk Bridge, Cendere Bridge from Roman times, Karakuş tumulus and move to Adıyaman to have a break, then we move on to Diyarbakır to see the world’s most well-preserved city walls. The city walls are on the list of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage and are considered as an open-air museum. They are 1.700 m from East to the West, 1.300 m from North to South, and 5 km long in total. It was built in the form of two walls, but the outer wall has been destroyed today. Traces of these outer walls can only be seen around the Mardin gate and Dağ gate today. The walls consist of 82 bastions and 4 main gates. Body walls are supported by buttresses. The main city gates are Harput(Mountain gate) on the North, Urfa(Greek) gate on the West, Mardin( Tell) gate on the South, Yenikapı ( Dicle and Şat) on the East. There are two more secondary Gates Hindibaba and Tekkapı which were opened during the Republic era.

We also visit the Ulu Mosque complex, which is one of the oldest mosques of Anatolia, Hasan Pasha Inn, which was built by Hasan Pasha between 1572-1575, inner castle, Diyarbakır Archeological Museum which has a rich collection, Şeyh Mutahhar Mosque which was built by Akkoyunlu ruler Kasım in order. We then photograph the historical bridge on the Dicle river and take a break.

After a long day, we turn back to Diyarbakır Airport to take the flight to Antalya at 20:20 via Sun Express.
